An automotive lithium-ion battery protection IC is an IC that monitors overcharging, overdischarging, and overcurrent to protect lithium-ion batteries used in automotive equipment, ensuring safe operation.
ABLIC's automotive lithium-ion battery protection ICs include the world's first* automotive 1-cell battery protection IC, as well as multi-cell battery protection ICs designed for automotive BMS in accordance with the ISO26262 Functional Safety (Fusa) Standard. They protect 1 to 6 cells and can protect 7 or more cells through cascading connections. High-accuracy overcharge, overdischarge, and overcurrent detection, along with a self-test function, ensure safe battery management.
We also offer EDLC voltage monitoring ICs equipped with cell balancing and power-saving functions.
Moreover, our automotive battery protection ICs/EDLC voltage monitoring ICs are AEC-Q100 qualified and PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) capable. This ensures high quality and reliability, making them suitable for safety critical components such as BMS. For FuSa-compliant products, we provide a Safety Manual, making them ideal for automotive applications that require higher safety.
