The S-19954/5 Series is housed in the HSNT-8(1616)B package (1.6 × 1.6 × t0.41 (max.) mm), which is the industry’s smallest package for 5.5V operation, 1A output, 2.25MHz oscillation frequency, and synchronous step-down switching regulators. With only one inductor and two capacitors as external components, the application circuit is built with the industry’s smallest* mounting area.

The HTMSOP-8 package (2.9 × 4.0 × t0.8 (max.) mm), a gull wing type with ease of mounting, is also available for the S-19954/5 Series.

The S-19954/5 Series has a Power Good function that monitors the output voltage staying within the normal range. This function enables an error flag that notifies the microcontroller when the output voltage is out of normal range.

Other features including an overcurrent protection circuit, a short-circuit protection circuit, and a thermal shutdown circuit also contribute to a greater system safety.

The S-19954/5 Series achieves an industry’s top-class* level of power conversion efficiency of 95% (at a 4V input voltage, 3.3V output voltage, and 200mA output current). In recent years, automotive cameras have been required to achieve higher pixel density in a smaller housing than what was used before, and thermal design has also become increasingly important. The S-19954/5 Series contributes to the reduction of heat loss.
